This sculpture and its story reminds me of the scripture... 1 tim 6:12 'Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses' - (AmericanKJV) I'm not so much of a history student but i love to research my findings. I found this beautiful bronze sculpture on a monument along westminster, it was titled 'The Battle of Britain', what is arguably the finest war monument in London. Designed by british sculpture Paul Day, It was unveilled by Prince Charles and the Duches of Cornwall on the 18th of september 2005. It was built as a testament to the courage and sacrifice of the 2974 aircrew who fought so tenaciously during the summer of 1940, and in doing so saved England from invasion and subsequent occupation by the most heinous regime in the history of mankind. ...To read more about this sculpture, Click here. Everybody ...FREEZE!!! I came to shutterchance to better my photography skills and it has since proven to be a good decision. So far so good. Looking at the work of other photographers here has truly opened my eyes more to the things I never used to, helped me to see things the way I wouldn't normally have. It is true that no man is an island. Many of my friends here may not know but I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, OPINIONS AND MOST OF ALL, and YOUR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS. I have been man enough to receive them and to improve. Two main people here on shutterchance that have really been an inspiration to me in their own different ways are: 1) Jide Alakija I personally thank God for your life. You have been a blessing in ways that you may not know and yes, I AM A FAN OF YOUR WORK! Apart from unknowingly introducing me to SC, his photoblog gives me the dosage of inspiration I sometimes want. 2) Suby and Sinem YOU SHOULD DROP THE CAMERA AND BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHY CRITIC if there is anything like that. (That's a joke) Thanks for being blunt in you comments and opinions. When I read your comments on other people's pages, I sometimes say 'How could someone be so crude' but hey, that's what makes one better. We don't need people who see that your work is evidently B A D or maybe not so good, yet massage your ego instead of being honest. Back to Today's blog! What is photography: Photography to me has many definitions, as you will be finding out in the nearest future. Today, It is nothing more than the ability to keep a moment alive FOREVER. That is one SUPER-POWER every photographer posses.
